Oneida Eagle Phoenix bow.
Very smooth drawing bow. Very quiet, not nearly as noisy as the older Oneida bows.

Okay
I recently purchased the Oneida Phoenix through the manufacturer. I love Oneida’s. I have owned several and learned how to work on them myself and maintain them and even through all of their problems i will shoot them. I kept this bow in my cart for weeks before pulling the trigger as there isn’t much information on them out there in reviews. I ended up buying it and when it came to my door it had some scratches on the top outboard limb. I didn’t mind if it was scratched but after looking at the sides i noticed that there was what looked like a crack running down the limb. I called Oneida and they replaced the limb for me. Great. One week later I’m shooting the bow and the power cable on the bottom frays and breaks. Mind you I haven’t even put 150 arrows through it at this point. This is my 3rd week with my bow and its sitting on the shelf right now with a broken power cable waiting for a new one to come in the mail but ill give you the rundown on it as of now.
– Looks great, the machining work on this bow is great and it definitely fits the Oneida aesthetic from the early 2000’s with the Black Eagle 2
– Shoots well and is fairly quiet compared to most of the other Oneidas I have. This is NOT a quiet bow though but it definitely is not loud.
– The bow string is poor and the peep will rotate a full 360 degrees or so upon draw so good luck getting a peep to stay without a rubber tube connected to the cables or replacing the string entirely.
– The thing creaks and cracks upon draw and no amount of oil and reassembly I have put into it can seem to fix this. its very unsettling
– seems to shoot straight and i got it sighted in fairly well at 60 yards with a whisker biscuit for the short amount of time i have had to shoot with it.
I wanted to be able to write a great review about how amazing the new phoenix is. Do i like this bow? absolutely. would i recommend you buy this bow? ehh, probably not. For the price of this bow (worn out argument incoming) you can own 2 Oneida black eagles which is a great bow. You could own another Cam driven bow of the around the same price and not have to worry about half the problems of this bow.
